Glad to hear that, I have upload it now to GIT, let me know if you have issues.

[off-topic] we receive a link to this nice track from livikus using guitarix with guitar/bass/voice and hydrogen for the drums. (grunge rock)

I think the new skin is great, but I wonder if you should use a more contrasting color for the text - black on grey is a little hard to read. (maybe you can provide user-selectable variations on the skin used, but I'm not sure what is possible with lv2). Hmm, just noticed that "Guitarix" is written in the center, which is nearly invisible now.

Would it be possible to remove any references to lv2core? This package has been superseded by lv2-dev. I can't build it now on Ubuntu 12.04. Thanks!

If you just talk about the configure check, yes, sorry, my foul.
I have just committed the correct check for lv2-dev >= 1.2.0 and remove the check for the core package. :oops:
But in the ttl files the references to lv2core are needed (they are still valid with lv2-dev)
Let me know if you still have problems with the build.

If you take a new pull, you will get the newly committed re-sizable feature as well. :)

Just saw that in the lv2.pc file. Actually guitarix didn't build because I didn't have my dependencies right :oops:

It fails to build:

Code: Select all

21:22:29 runner system command -> ['/usr/lib/ccache/g++', 'default/src/LV2/gxamp.lv2/gxamp_2.o', 'default/src/zita-resampler-1.1.0/resampler_2.o', 'default/src/zita-resampler-1.1.0/resampler-table_2.o', '-o', '/tmp/buildd/guitarix-0.24.3+git20121212/build/default/src/LV2/gxamp.lv2/gxamp.so', '-shared', '-fPIC', '-Wl,-Bdynamic', '-ldl', '-lgxwmm', '-lgxw', '-lzita-convolver']
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgxwmm
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgxw
This is with --shared-lib, without that option the lv2 part fails to build too. And yes, I'm trying to package it.

oh fuc*,

well gxamp.so shouldn't build against libgxw/mm, those are only needed for the GUI.
Hope I have fix it now :|

--shared-lib will set automatic by --build-lv2

hope it works now :(

Apparently it doesn't get set yet:

Code: Select all

/usr/bin/ld: default/libgxw/gxw/libgxw.a(gxinit_2.o): relocation R_X86_64_32 against `.data' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
default/libgxw/gxw/libgxw.a: could not read symbols: Bad value
New try with --shared-lib :)

Good to hear that, hope you like the new plug (also sound-wise) :)

Let me please know about any issues, because this is my frame work for LV2-plugs from guitarix, so if all work well, I will start to couple out some more amp-heads and effects for the brave. :)

@varpa:
As well I'm open for suggestions for the used ampskins if anyone have a preferred one. let me know.

Well, I'm not there yet though, need to compile Qtractor from SVN first also.
