Good morning
I cannot make to work Guitarix, I tried already with almost all the combinations of Jack's ports (Qjackctl) and did not salt the sound of the guitar for the Guitarix.
When I connect the Guitar to the PC the sound is amplified and goes out for the loudspeakers, but the sound is clean,
In the preferences of the mixer and in alsamixer I have line of entry and rear mic to the maximum of volume.
I have installed gx_head from yaourt. Use Manjaro.
My sound card is: NVIDIA Corporation MCP61 High Definition Audio
I want to record and cannot, this is the only way that I have

.
Help please!!!
Thanks.
PD: Earlier it was using Debian and it was using Guitarix without any problem, but now on having passed to Manjaro, I cannot do that it works, discard that it is the sound card.

Sounds more like a general problem of how to set up jack . Maybe other arch users can jump in here? I'm just use debian sid, so cant help much here.

Thanks for answering
You are right, it seems that it is a problem with jack's connections, but I already proved with many combinations of conext jack's ports and it does not work.
For example I tried with this configuration that appears in some tutorials:
But it does not work
Thanks

The connections in qjackctl seems to be right, so how about other apps, do they behave well, could you use rakarrack for example? Do you hear sound played by ardour? Have you set jackd to duplex mode?

Rakarrack it does not work either, try with different configurations and nothing...
I checks the configuration of qjackctl and this one in way Duplex
I leave an screenshoot:
Will I be lacking any package?
I Install Manjaro from an netinstall iso
Thanks.

Check your volume levels with alsamixer
Seems like there might be something muted.

My guess: Your audio card has an internal mixer and the audio capture goes right to the audio output, instead of (or, maybe, in addition to yet the input clean signal prevails) going to the computer. You have to avoid this hardware mixing by means of alsamixer.

These are the levels of volume and configuration that I have in alsamixer
Card: HDA Nvidia
Chip: Realtek ALC887
Playback:
Marter %100
Headphone %100
PCM %100
Front %100
Front Mic %0
Front Mic Boost %0
Sorroiund %100
Center %100
LFE %100
Line %100
CD %100
S/PDIF - Off
S/PDIF Default PCM - 00
Beep %0
Auto-Mute Mode - Enabled
Channel Mode - 2ch
Rear Mic %100
Rear Mic Boost %0
Capture
Front Mic Boost %0
S/PDIF - Off
Capture %0
Capture 1 %0
Digital %0
Input Source - Rear Mic
Input Source 1 - Rear Mic
Rear Mic Boost %0
My Sound Card have 2 ports free, and tried with both changing the option Input Source in accordance with where it was connecting the guitar (Line of entry or Rear Mic)

Hi,
My Sound Card have 2 ports free, and tried with both changing the option Input Source in accordance with where it was connecting the guitar (Line of entry or Rear Mic)
The following alsamixer configuration of yours and my comments assume the guitar is connected to the "rear mic" input. Try also the other port, changing the levels accordingly. The idea is that you don't want your guitar in the playback mixer but you need to turn up its capture level.
Playback
Marter %100
Headphone %100
PCM %100
Front %100
Front Mic %0
Front Mic Boost %0
Sorroiund %100
Center %100
LFE %100
Line %100
CD %100
S/PDIF - Off
S/PDIF Default PCM - 00
Beep %0
Auto-Mute Mode - Enabled
Channel Mode - 2ch
Rear Mic %100
<------------------- I think this is the culprit. You don't want the mic signal here
Rear Mic Boost %0
Capture
Front Mic Boost %0
S/PDIF - Off
Capture %0
<------------------ this is the capture level of the main input source (rear mic). Turn it up.
Capture 1 %0
Digital %0
Input Source - Rear Mic
Input Source 1 - Rear Mic
Rear Mic Boost %0
<---------- You might need to play with this, for a higher input level.

If this is what it was doing.
When connecting the guitar to the line port, it was changing the parameter input source of capture>alsamixer from rear mic to line but there is no way it's not working!! haha

Try with everything what you said to me
I raised the rear mic boost volume
I raised the capture volume
And I diminished to 0 the reac mic volume
Already not that more to try and needed to record!! haha
PD: Do you speak Spanish?

I don't know what happens but I am almost sure the problem is here, not in guitarix or rackarrack. Try switching off the auto-mute mode.
Please understand that most people here don't use an onboard card to record music. Not only do they sound bad and record worse but they also are difficult to setup for recording.
As a last resort, you could go back to debian or wherever you got it working and do a (in a terminal window):
alsactl store -f /home/distux/thisworks.conf
Now, thisworks.conf is a file in your home directory. Copy the file to a pendrive or something and when you are again in your favourite distro, put it in your home directory and load it via:
alsactl restore -f /home/distux/thisworks.conf
Cheers!
Yes, I speak spanish
EDIT:
You said some things you tried, but you didn't tell what happened, or what didn't happen. Please, be more specific. I can try to help you in spanish if you write to hispasonic.com, gnu/linux forum board

I solved it!!!!!!!!!!
I leave the solution:
In the preferences of the mixer, in the tab capture is necessary to enable the sound capture in the exit as sample the following image:
Thanks a lot
