New Song: "Thing I Never Want to Say"
I just recorded a new song using my Fostex MR-8 Mk II 4 track recorder, my keyboard, guitars, and Audacity to do a little mastering. Check it out! Feel free to comment here or at my web site.

That's an nice piece of work Nathan! Not only the song but also the presentation on your website with those listen/download options and lyrics/ chords, good job!
I like the song.
If I should be critical I would say, some lyrics in the middle are good... maybe I'm missing a good end...
The solo guitar follows the chords very close, maybe you could add a bit more tension in the song.
From who is the womans voice?

Thanks for all the comments studio, I really appreciate it!
My wife, Amber, is the one singing harmony vocals. She really adds a lot to my songs with her harmonies...she's also great when performing live. We've been singing together since we were in high school.

Nice one, Nathan.
Don't be too (publicly) self-critical about your singing: your vocals are really good and
you have a good voice. Its much easier to see tiny faults in ones own work than it is for other people to see them.
Nice harmonies, too!
my 2 UK pennies: I would be inclined to mix the acoustic guitar back and off-centre in favour of the lead vocal.

Hey thanks Matt & GarryO!
Yes, you're probably right. I appreciate the advice.GarryO wrote:Don't be too (publicly) self-critical about your singing:
Cool, thanks for the idea. I'm totally open to mixing/mastering advice as I am so not a pro in this area! I will definitely think about this as continue record & mix more tracks!GarryO wrote: my 2 UK pennies: I would be inclined to mix the acoustic guitar back and off-centre in favour of the lead vocal.

Very nice! I think I'd tone the reverb down a bit on the vocals though. I tend to prefer dry vocals.

Re: New Song: "Thing I Never Want to Say"
Hey Nathan! Great song, I also posted the same comment on your own website... would it be OK if I arranged it sometime for a choir-type group?
Plus, I can't seem to PM anyone... I think I might be doing something wrong. I would really like to join Rehearsal Room! Any chance I might get in?

Dude you have a great country style voice!
Pity no one really looks through here much. Lot of wasted time and talent.
