Hi,
This is the finished product of an original instrumental from a few years back, it was inspired by all those great instrumentals from the late 60's by Booker T. &the MG's and others. The general idea having a prominent simple hummable melody with some funky stuff going on underneath. I've since gotten some better organ samples but this old 'metal organ' monster kind of suits the tune so I've just left it alone. This was finished on AV Linux 6.0 with the included Ardour3 beta5 and linuxDSP plugins.

Re: Funky Fried Chicken
Nothing much wrong with that. Sounds great. I like the organ sound. How much of the rest is 'real' instruments?

Re: Funky Fried Chicken
Hi,
Thanks for taking time to listen and comment. The bass and guitar are real, the organ is a Soundfont actually played with QSynth and a MIDI keyboard and the drums are H2 powered with my own samples using the the 'Black Pearl' drumkit I mentioned in the other thread.

I like the song, very nice groove, it has a very organic feel to it like it's all played live, the only thing I'm not too sure about is the stereo mix (i.e. the panning), I can't really say exactly what wrong with it but the various instruments seem to be too much all over the place in the stereo field.
