Hello everyone,
Been meaning to sign up in this forum for some time.
I have been using Linux for a number of years as the foundation for my live dj setup.
I use currently Xwax with the Jack Audio Server running on RedHat Linux 5.
My main pc has a Asus Xonar D1 PCI Soundcard & Onboard Intel HD Audio. RT Kernel 2.6.28. Technics 1210 decks, Vestax Mixer (innofader), Serato Vinyls. For my recordings and live dsp I use AVlinux which has great features.
I use an ipad2 running S1 Midi trigger for midi controlling jack-rack, xwax, sooperlooper, specimen, hydrogen etc etc.
Used a bit of veejay running on the apodio live cd and messed around with fluxus too.
Some of my videos for demonstrating xwax and veejay can be found at http://youtube.com/intamixx
My main website is http://www.intamixx.co.uk/radio where some of my songs from long ago can be downloaded and recent xwax mixes can be heard.
My next aim is to make some music using linux apps such as qtractor, lmms, seq24, audacity, zynaddsubfx etc.
Look forward to exploring this forum in the meantime and learning some more.
matt

Hi and welcome Intamixx!

I was wanting to use xwax not too long ago but sadly you need serato decks and the dev has no plans to add support for controlling it with anything else (like mouse) and I'm not going to be doing much scratching and mixing so its a no go for us pleb DJs. There is mixx too but it doesn't seem as high-end as xwax plus last time I checked it lacked JACK support so meh!

You are aware of the Linux audio company Indamixx right? Co-incidence?

Enjoy the forums!

Hola a todos!!!,
Its great to be here.
I have many questions regarding sequencers preinstalled in tangostudio. Specially Qtractor, festige and midi implementation. I hope to get help from all of you.

Thanks for your attentions.
