Loading Windows VSTs within Carla

so i just rebuilt carla git on ubuntu 14.04 and it seems to load vst now.

dumb question. in carla i see carla rack lv2. when i go into ardour its not listed in the plugins list. i cant find it anywhere on my filesystem.

where is it installed by default.

hmmm Not installed so i tried to install it and cant be found. Also all of the meta packages can not be found as well. Funny this is a fresh install of 14.04 studio that i just installed all of the meta packages in. Ill look into it later

ITs official. something is messed up in my system. I just reinstalled the repos and i cant even install carla or cadence. unable to locat package.

i am officially a dumb ass.. Been working way too late. I had 2 terminals open. each was SSH into 2 data centers 100 and 500 miles away. NOT MY LOCAL MACHINE.

not rushing. i have a large test lab 4 6 core xeon desktops and a 72 core vm cluster with pci passthrough. ahh what some clients throw away because they think they need new hardware

With the MIDI track or Audio + MIDI works but without the gui, wait for the next version of Ardour3.

the latest version of carla git seems to be working fine in ubuntu studio 14.04 as a not i had lots of problems with xruns. seemed to be a combination of the version of chromium that ubuntu ships and also the winert in the kx repos. I run a few windows 64 apps anyways so it wasnt a big deal to go with the wine ppa and install wine64.

Question I know there have been some changes with the way carla loads win vst. the problem that everyone was having recently with the bridge being unreachable was fixed thank you. Now im trying to get it working with my normal distro arch. in the AUR there is a carla-git that i have done a clean build of and it has the same problem with the bridge. I modified the pkgbuild to pull from master branch and it still doesnt work. The fixes you pushed, are they in master or another branch. which branch does the ubuntu/debian carla-git build from. I also dont know enough about the new version and how it handles vst. in buntu i can load either the dssi version with gui or ladspa without custom gui and all is well. i can do neither with the git master version i have built.
Am i missing something that only kx deb installs or am i on the wrong branch.

remove aur dssi-vst and install dssi-vst-git.
