Have a look at Calf plugins for eycandy.
And personally I like the look of LSP plugins too.

ftr : my project is now on https://github.com/rghvdberg/FM_Challenge

I'll add a proper README later on, also putting the presets I made in there.

Ah... that's pretty nice. Will check it later :) .

I started two days ago with a song, but I'm using REAPER. I wanted to use Ardour, but had problems with the OXE FM settings ... In REAPER it works perfectly.

Here's a smaller snippet (working title: 125-71-3  ):

Nice. But my sub woofer is complainig...shouting at me "Man, that is beautiful music, but where's the bass. Me is big heap bored. Give! Me! Bass!" Listend thru you're tracks at SC. Man I love moonchild! They all have beautifull sounds, insipring arps, nice pads, beautiful chord...(I would love to be able to produce such sounds)...but no bass ;-)
Anyway - Looking forward to the final mixdown.

Cool.
But, that pluck hit at 1:13 … how the heck did you do that.
It's awesome!

I was also suprised when I heard it :D . It sounds very Dub Techno like.
It's a Bass (Cminor chord) sound from OXE plus the shiroverb

Ooops .. didn't see your post. Where exactly does bass start for you? I usually disregard everything below ~40 Hz. My monitors (Eris 5) go just until ca. 55 Hz. I'll see what I can do...

Thanks for the kind words. When I Iistened to your track I also thought that's great and I need to learn a lot to make something similar.

from irc (rgareus aka x42)
in case of some VSTs, they always started off their first preset, then ardour only then applies changes
so loading any preset won't be saved. but making manual changes starting from the first preset is correctly saved/restored in 5.12

Reaper does not have that issue.

it's an ardour specific bug
fixed in git, but that's for 6.0 (which you shouldn't use atm)

Still no entry form on FM challenge page?

I've just finished my entry today. 21 instances of Dexed. Since I missed KVR OSC challenge with Dexed I choose this one. So it is again one synth challenge for me.

So if this challenge alive or not? 8)

Yes, it's alive. I'm in the process of deploying the submission form right now. Sorry for the long delay.

I'm also going to announce an awesome first prize sponsorship on Monday. Stay tuned!

Heads up, everybody!

The competition entry submission form is finally online!

Please submit your entries here:

https://fmchallenge.osamc.de/submit/

Sorry for the long delay. :( It seems my web programming skills were a bit rusty. You have still almost eight days to finish and submit your track.

I encourage you all to submit your tracks as soon as possible even if they are not finished yet. Each submitted entry has a draft status at first, until you publish it. Only then (and after I have checked and approved it*) will the track be publicly visible and really enter the competition. If it stays in draft status until the deadline, it does not enter the competition, so there's no harm in submitting your track now, even if you are not sure whether you will finish it in time. But you won't miss the deadline, just because there are technical difficulties or your upload to Archive.org doesn't pass the checks.

I'm looking forward to hear what you came up with!

* Basically just checking the description and production notes for spam and conformance to the rules, this will be done quickly.

P.S. The first one to break the web application gets to keep the pieces! ;) Seriously, if there are any problems with the submission form or the site, please contact me via fmchallenge@osamc.de.

So it's possible to upload it now and update it later?
Edit: Ah... it's clearly stated on the website. :)
