Compiled MusE again from upstream about an hour ago and then took the plunge and compiled the updated UI for ZynAddSubFX called "Zyn-Fusion". Instructions for doing so: https://github.com/zynaddsubfx/zyn-fusi ... g-on-Linux
The only zynaddsubfx binary on my system is a result of the compile mentioned above.
Code: Select all
$ which zynaddsubfx
/usr/bin/zynaddsubfx
$ ls -l /usr/bin/zynaddsubfx
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 27 Aug 12 02:44 /usr/bin/zynaddsubfx -> /opt/zyn-fusion/zynaddsubfx
$ /opt/zyn-fusion/zynaddsubfx -v

Version: 3.0.3
I also took a look inside Settings -> MIDI Ports / Soft Synths
I see the following entries (I am only listing synths here and not the related effects that ship with it)
File Type Inst Name Version
ZynAddSubFX Native VST(synths) 0 ZynAddSubFX 3.0.3
carla LV2 (synths) 1 ZynAddSubFX LV2
ZynAddSubFX LV2 (synths) 0 ZynAddSubFX LV2
Given the last 2 have no version information, I'm going to assume the entries relate to the older UI. If this issue gets worked out with 3.0.3, I'd find myself wondering how to remove the entries which relate to the older version. In the meantime, I'll obviously be working with the older UI and even experimenting with loading 3.0.3 into Carla. Let's see what happens...
