Re: Interesting Electronic Music From Russia
That's electronic pop. Playing the angst of the market.
If you want nice, if somewhat at times profound, electronic music from Russia, check out Koan. They made a lot of albums. Not the Koan Sound band from Britain. Nor the Jewish artist by the same name.
Once you get the Russian Koan band on youtube then you can got from link to link for some time. Many of their albums are 90 to 120 minutes. Then just let it play in the background, it will do its work. And move to it. No vocals, only instrumental.
For instance:
First, a short piece featuring an excellent video:
The island of Deceased Ships
Two other short pieces:
Matariki, a short piece
Selena's Song
Then, albums:
When the Silence is Speaking...
Argonautica

"This month's Global Beats is the first of two from Moscow, a city whose contemporary culture is all too often eclipsed by international politics."protozone wrote: Global Beats.
He he, if a good deal of friggin western medias were not so bent on plastering their view of politics on largely unsuspecting populations and would instead see the people and the culture, they wouldn't issue statements like that in the first place. How ironic.
Re: Interesting Electronic Music From Russia
Ah, I made a mistake. The tune that I linked to was the wrong band. I tried a web search but got a false positive.
I didn't know how to find them. But the BBC broadcast DOES have music and interviews that I liked.
Sorry about that.
Thanks for the replies, though.
I agree with you guys.
Thanks jonestu for the great tune links... much more what I was looking for!
