Fedora Jam

What other apps and distros do you use to round out your studio?

Fedora Jam

Post by bloke »

I'm a RedHat bloke from way back and would prefer to stay on this side of the fence if possible. The CCRMA project doesn't seem to have been updated in a while, and I seem to remember something about them moving their packages into the Fedora project for maintenance. I just downloaded Fedora Jam which is built on F28, but the project itself also seems a bit quiet.

Does anyone care to venture any news or opinions on the health of theCCRMA and/or Fedora Jam projects?

Thanks

Never mind, I looked into Fedora Jam a bit further and it does seem to be an ailing project. Someone somewhere is still updating it but there seems to be no kind of community around it. Also up-to-date PureData and SuperCollider packages aren't available.

So I've climbed the fence and am now running Debian + LXDE. Debian seems like the go-to base distro for audio.

I use ycollect/linuxmao repo on copr, it has some good things in it.
