Re: Calf Studio Gear 0.90.0
Greetings,
Built this morning from latest git sources with no troubles, a few tests indicate everything working well, as usual.
Thanks for the excellent update, the Calf plugins are a go-to set when I need effects. Great sound and UIs.
Best regards,
Dave Phillips

Re: Calf Studio Gear 0.90.0
Thanks a bunch, Dave! Since we were a bit cocky this time not having pre-releases for testing beforehand it's good to hear that the published version builds and works flawlessly on different systems.

Re: Calf Studio Gear 0.90.0
damn it still crashes Ardour on Arch.
Calf use to be my go to also but haven't used for about a year because of the crashes.
I just uninstalled any old version and reinstalled the latest from git and it still crashes as I load a plugin.
EDIT: just tried it in Mixbus 32C and it loads without issue. I'm also using the latest Ardour 5.12.

Thanks a lot for trying it out! As mentioned in the other thread - if you find the time to submit a backtrace from gdb it would be very helpful. Is there any shared object file on your system named calf.so other than the freshly installed one? Asking because this is still a known problem with LMMS installed on the same system. FalkTX fortunately found a workaround for KXStudio but that's Debian package management. Problem is that LMMS installs legacy (LADSPA) versions of Calf which make Ardour crash while adding a Calf plugin.

hmm, LMMS maybe the issue then but I have no calf.so in my ladspa dir. I will try to do a gdb.Markus wrote:Thanks a lot for trying it out!
