hello,
i hope this is the right place for my question.
i am recording guitar, bass and vocals with ardour.
now i want to add some drums.
i tried hydrogen, but i do not want to create the rhythm from scratch!
so i am looking for ready "drumtracks".
like in superior drummer, where i can choose very comfortably from different beats / fills ....
thanks for any hint!
liebe grüsse

One possibility is to use BackupBand, if you're ok with capturing the drum track as an audio track. (Route the jack output of BackupBand to the jack input of some audio recording app). BackupBand doesn't export its drum track to midi format... yet.
You can then pick one of the 80 preset styles (or create your own), and use BackupBand's Intro, Verse, Chorus, and Bridge buttons to play an arrangement in realtime. BackupBand will create the actual drum beat, including fills.

If you want a more "low level" solution, I have a collection of "drum arrangements" in Midi file format. Pick one arrangement that comes closest to what you want, and manually edit that midi drum track. I've attached a zip file containing those midi files.

Re: looking for drumtracks
There are plenty of drum loops around, you can chop them up quickly enough if you want a bit of variation.
