LMMS 1.2
Not quite out just yet, but there is an RC released yesterday:
https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/releases/tag/v1.2.0-rc2
I should be back here to report on the final release, and maybe this thread can be used for further discussion on the whole 1.2 series.

Re: LMMS 1.2
I hope its done soon. I can't wait. I'm using 1.1.3 and 1.2 rc with WINE, but Isn't fair that the software called Linux MultiMedia Studio if the Linux version is always the last to be done

Re: LMMS 1.2
I compiled the release candidate my self and was very happy. (openSUSE leap 42.1 )
Carla, and a GIG player.
Only a minor issue, with some icons in the file browser.

Re: LMMS 1.2
wow, it loads my vst plugins and no xruns.. I can't get this Airwaves thing to do a thing and Carla will load them but hit start on any DAW and xruns.
Great work.
Great work.
Re: LMMS 1.2
Please pick any thread on Airwave and post your questions there, and I will see if I can help you solve whatever problem you're having with it.funkmuscle wrote:wow, it loads my vst plugins and no xruns.. Re: LMMS 1.2
Anytime I see the Windows version ahead of the Linux, I update from git..goines wrote:I hope its done soon. I can't wait. I'm using 1.1.3 and 1.2 rc with WINE, but Isn't fair that the software called Linux MultiMedia Studio if the Linux version is always the last to be done
I had your exact convo with dizzy(I think that's one of the devs name) about Windows being updated before Linux and he explained that the git would have the latest developmental version.
Usually when the official version is released, Linux is first.

I'm using the first version but there are some buggs and i thinks that i'm going to move on and instal the lasrest one!
Thanks!
Re: LMMS 1.2
I suspect that indicates that the project is getting more help/support from the other platform than from linux users. THATs not right.goines wrote:I hope its done soon. I can't wait. Re: LMMS 1.2
I started using the git a while back when one of the devs mentioned somewhere in the form a while back that they have restructured the whole program. Since then I would update my build every couple of months or so.briandc wrote:So when will it be released???

I couldn't tell you when they will be releasing it but for me it's quite stable.

Re: LMMS 1.2
If you don't mind missing Vestige you can install 1.1.3
You might even get lucky and Vestige might be there. ( the technical details are beyond me, but there is a problem with lmms 1.1.3 that did not occur on openSUSE leap 42.1, but does occur on leap 42.2 and all other distro's as fas as I know. )
RC3 which I am using, is quite stable though.
LMMS needs more coders, but coders who wont get paid, are not easy to find.
And to quote one of the devs.
On the bright site, the next release candidate should have a self installer for Linux.
I even tried posting on phoronix to find coders for lmms, but that failed.

We keep breaking stuff with new cool features.
