Hi Jeff,

This one's been available for quite a while at http://distrho.sourceforge.net/ports. The new news is that its further development has been picked up by discoDSP :

That's good to hear, their stuff is very high quality so this might have an exciting future. I'm a bit confused though, the download for linux on their page links to a post from 2014 about compiling it. Have they actually done anything to it yet?

its not explicit, but on DiscoDSP's page they say
Thanks to 2Dat for the original OB-Xd and Soshi Studio for giving the rights to continue this wonderful product.
which sounds like perhaps its been relicensed. :( If not then they have to provide it on request. Currently there's no mention of source or license or links or anything.

Folks at KVR are discussing it too and it sounds like all DDSP has done is added a new GUI.

I think the new GUI was made by a KVR User, and there is no branding on it. They claimed it will stay free; and if they
can improve it - why not? So let´s see what the future brings.
Meanwhile the Linux 64-bit VST build is available.

I've been using it in Bitwig for quite a while, my build from the discoDSP source code. Skins and banks are available by right-clicking on the GUI.

Where is it available for download? The binary of discodsp doesn't work here.

Have you download and unpack it, than move it to "~/.lv2", rescan for new Plugins in ~Ardour/... ?
