The Deep Ravine

Post by lfz »

My entry for the most most recent OSMP "Riff it!" tunestorm https://soundcloud.com/lfzawacki/ownlif ... eep-ravine

More info into the recording, sounds used and lyrics on the tracks's description. The song still has one more verse and a chorus before it's really complete, but I wanted to finish it in time for the tunestorm so here it is. Any feedback is appreciated :)

Hi,

Great job! Good mix and I really like the atmosphere created by the guitars and vocals. It reminds me a bit of Alice in Chains (take that as a compliment). A great piece of work considering you had to use Riffs written by someone else.

I like the way it gets really intense around the halfway mark. and then there's that seriously tasty guitar lead at the end :D

Way to rise to the challenge! I especially liked the vocals and the sweet guitar solo.

Thanks. I wasn't aiming for Alice in Chains, but I see what you mean :) . This mix was really hard to do, never could make it work with so much instruments ... but it actually ended up sounding really good for this song.

Thanks had to do many takes until it sounded right, but I'm happy I could strike a balance between melody and shredding for this one.
