Hot to increase the volume of FluidSynth?

Post by kevinpaladin »

I just installed Linthesia and FluidSynth as mentioned in the Arch wiki : https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/FluidSynth - I use Arch Linux.

The problem is, whenever I play a midi file in Linthesia or directly using FluidSynth from the terminal, the volume is very low even though the system volume is maximum. How do I increase the volume of the synthesizer?

This is my configuration file of FluidSynth:

Code: Select all

SOUND_FONT=/usr/share/soundfonts/FluidR3_GM2-2.sf2
AUDIO_DRIVER=alsa
OTHER_OPTS='-is -m alsa_seq -r 48000'
Any help is appreciated. And yeah, I am new to the forum. :)

Adding `-g 2` option while starting fluidsynth increased the volume.
