OpenShot updates

Post by apathity »

I don't read news and blogs very often, but I just found out that OpenShot is getting some updates, you might want to know about it: http://www.openshotvideo.com/2015/09/op ... pdate.html

Last time I checked, all development was paused as far as I remember.

I'm using OpenShot right now for a new video and I'm almost about to lose my mind because of some bugs. It's not that the software is designed badly, quite the opposite as far as I'm concerned as a casual user.

yes, I got frustrated by openshot since it looks like exactly the sort of video editor I want, but it was completely unusable due to bugs and crashes. It would be nice to have it reach a useable state.

I'm doing quite a bit of video editing at the moment and I have collected a list of bugs and features in OpenShot. Need to submit all these tickets yet and I hope it will be improved in the future. I just can't get off my ass and look into Blender. I know Blender from my game programming days but for video editing? I dunno. The learning curve seems high, and as I get older I tend to look out for quick and easy solutions. If only I were 18 years old again, I would dive in and fix all the issues myself if I could!
