FFADO no longer working KxStudio 14.04

Post by beatleboy07 »

So I used the previous version of KxStudio which I think was 12.10? My MOTU Ultralite worked fantastically. Then I switched to Ubuntu with Gnome, and firewire stopped working. So I thought I'd go back to the bundled OS for KxStudio 14.04. Now, I can't get Jack to start with my MOTU. I'm not quite sure what to do to troubleshoot this. Before, I would use Cadence and configure Jack to use the Firewire driver, and then it would start straight away. Now, I get nothing happening at all.

Any idea how I should start fixing this?

Make sure you have the firewire modules loaded https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pro_Audio#FireWire
Jack isn't reporting any errors at all?
