Convolver as LADSPA-plugin?

What other apps and distros do you use to round out your studio?

Convolver as LADSPA-plugin?

Post by bluebell »

Hi all,

I found the LV2-plugin IR and got some impulse responses. Unfortunately Rosegarden cannot handle LV2-plugins yet so I have to start lv2rack and do the wiring in JACK.

Does anyone know a convolver plugin with LADSPA-support?

Linux – MOTU UltraLite AVB – Qtractor – http://suedwestlicht.saar.de/

Freeverb3: http://freeverb3.sourceforge.net/
But then you'll have to hack the IR files in yourself.

The LADSPA API simply didn't provide the ability to create controls which allow you to load IR-files. So it isn't possible to build a convolver plug-in IR-LV2 in LADSPA. (The host can't create the needed UI because of the leak in the API)

I wouldn't recommend Freeverb3, first, it isn't a LADSPA plug, second, it use a lot to much CPU and didn't work proper, at least when I try´d it.

But Qtractor support LV2.

Actually, there is Impulse Convolver LADSPA plugin by Steve Harris:

It has a few short impulses compiled in, so I quess one could make his own version...

Locks like it be the Beamsonic(2) Impulses by Nick Beamso,
indeed I wasn't able to find them anymore in the net.
Still lucky I have them in original here and can load them into the convolver of my choice. :)
