Hi.
I'm looking for a MIDI program that can do live looping. I mean, a software in which I can run my MIDI sequences and be able to repeat a predefined section at the touch of a button (for example, to be able to repeat a chorus by touching a button, while performing live).
I'm currently using Rosegarden for MIDI sequencing (here's my previous post about this: http://www.linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=763) , and although it has loop capability, I have not found a shortcut for it, which is a little troublesome when performing live, because in the middle of a song it is hard to let go of my instrument and grab the mouse to activate looping.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Have a look at the non sequencer
It is for midi, what is freewheeling for audio.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm on the run right now, but will take a look at all the options later.

Re: MIDI Live Looping
Well, I was just looking at Muse. Any of you use it? I'm familiar with Rosegarden, as I previously stated, but I discovered some playback features that will come in handy for me (a MIDI plugin for controlling playback using the piano's keys, integrated Fluidsynth management) Besides, the loop function can be activated with the "/" key at any moment during playback, which is just what I was looking for. Now I have to give it a good test in real performance.
I wonder why Rosegarden does not have a shortcut for activating the loop function Or does it includes it and I'm not aware?
Anyway, I'll be exploring some of the programs suggested in this thread; maybe there are more options that I have not discovered.
Thanks for the help.

The best way to find out, is to ask it on their user mailinglist!angelsguitar wrote:

Yeah, i should try that. But what I did try was to post a new feature request at their development site.studio32 wrote: The best way to find out, is to ask it on their user mailinglist!
