I'm new to guitars, myself. For Christmas I got a Pacifica 112v, and later I also got a really cheap stratocaster and p-bass knockoff from ebay.

My other guitar equipment is the Zoom G1 effects pedal, and the cheap bass amp which came with my bass guitar.

Hi, Welcome at the forum :)

ok nice guitar: http://tapas.affenbande.org/wordpress/?page_id=73

Zoom G1, heard about it, is it useful? I posted two howto's about ams and jack-rack as effect processors in section howto, maybe you find it useful...

The Zoom G1 is very useful. It can do many different effects, and can do the job of an amplifier (handy for me since I haven't got one at the moment).

I'm a simple man, so the Zoom G1 does everything I need in terms of effects.

Well, I bought a Taylor 210E about a month ago. so that can be added to the list. It plays well and sounds great. I think Taylor has a nice clear tone in general.

Most of the time I am using Mexican Fender Telecaster with shaved neck , Texas special pick up in the bridge and Strat neck pick up.In combination with Dunlop Cry Baby and Fender CybertwinSE amp works great for me,for gigs, practicing or recording. I am also using Takamine EN-10C that I have rescued from Pawn shop 8 years ago for acoustic sound(plugged in a board) and I am planning on keeping it for life..I play often on 95 Mexican Strat, with fixed tremolo, custom fret job and vintage pick ups.I have passed Godin LG built out Brazilian Mohagony and suited with Seymour Duncan split able humbuckers to my son together with Marshall amp .Our kids need desired, good gear now,not much later

Guitars and related equipment at the momont:
  • Gibson Les Paul Studio
  • Hohner 6 String bass
  • Ovation Celebrity acoustic
  • An old Alvarez dreadnought that I've had 20+ years
  • Line 6 Spider II 120watt 2x12 combo
  • Digitech GNX4
I had a bunch of other guitars that got sold off for various reasons over the last few years. I'll be adding more back over the next couple of years though. Top of the list: a white or cream Les Paul custom and a nice Paul Reed Smith.

As a gearhead, please allow me to revive this thread :)

Image

From left to right:
- Gibson SG Pro 1970
- Epiphone Alleykat (belongs to my girl)
- Fender Telecaster 1977
- Yamaha SG2000 1977
- Below: Teisco KL-4 approx. 1966, I also own the matching amplifier

And last year I bought a cheapo guitar made out of PMMA (plexiglas, perspex) and replaced the bridge hum with a Gibson one, also replaced the knobs and the toggle and shielded the thing, looks pretty cool now:
Image

I play all this through London City amps:

I also own a combo of this Dutch brand:

My FX case:

It also contains a Zoom PD-01 (aka the poor man's Klon Centaur) and a Wobo invert looper instead of the invert looper I made myself. And I swapped the vintage Small Stone for a recent Nano one to save space and I don't use it that often. The vintage one sounds better though. I also use a Digitech Jamman and a Big Muff fuzz.

Woohoo, a gear thread!

I don't have photos, but here is what I use:
  • Ibanez 12-string (acoustic)
  • Ibanez 6-string (acoustic)
  • Hanika 6-string (nylon strings)
  • A Schecter strat from their very early days (probably '79 or '80), it doesn't even have a name.
  • An all maple strat (custom made for a friend of mine, i bought it later).
  • Gibson Les Paul Deluxe (with mini humbuckers)
  • Old Engl top for rack use, two channels and a lot of power
  • Marshall JMP-1
  • 4x12" with VIntage 30's
The more it stays the same, the less it changes
