That's really good to hear. I still have my doubts about my sound sometimes (don't the majority of guitarists have that?) especially with this particular guitar, a Fender Telecaster from 1977. That batch is renowned for its feedback because of the bridge construction and also I think my bridge pick-up needs wax potting. And on the recordings I didn't use it with my favorite amp but with a backup that doesn't sound as good, but still ok though.
You're right, I have never met a guitarist who is 100% satisfied with his sound. But a good friend of mine who does a lot of sound and equipment consulting said to me that if you have the sound in your fingers you will always hear it, no matter what equipment is used. So I stopped worrying about my sound, because after a lot of amp testing this friend said that he likes my sound on every amp we played, even if I didn't like it.

I wouldn't worry about your sound, it's fine as it is.
The more it stays the same, the less it changes

Thanks Jan, I think you're 100% right. For my other band I use a complete different set-up (humbuckers galore) and with Soda P I used to play on a an old SG with P90's but all set-ups didn't compromise my style. So those set-ups full-fill my needs apparently :)

Hey AutoStatic, tell us your secret, this is just too good :D

What is that effect at the very beginning of the song? I'm trying to find something just like that to simulate a low resolution radio sound (the vinyl effect plugin didn't work for me -- if nothing else works I guess I'll just try reducing a few sample rates).

Great song!!!

Wow, I spoke too fast! Great band you are!
I meant, I like this one over some others you have announced here and in the LAU.

Cheers! Pablo

Sorry for digging up an old thread but in the meanwhile Soda P has called it a day after 17 years :(
Doesn't mean I don't have a band at the moment, I'm currently the lead-singer and lead-guitarist of Bivouac. We're keeping it low-profile at the moment but hopefully we'll be doing some recordings this summer. And I'd like to record some stuff myself too and work a bit on that.
