You're right, I have never met a guitarist who is 100% satisfied with his sound. But a good friend of mine who does a lot of sound and equipment consulting said to me that if you have the sound in your fingers you will always hear it, no matter what equipment is used. So I stopped worrying about my sound, because after a lot of amp testing this friend said that he likes my sound on every amp we played, even if I didn't like it.AutoStatic wrote:That's really good to hear. I still have my doubts about my sound sometimes (don't the majority of guitarists have that?) especially with this particular guitar, a Fender Telecaster from 1977. That batch is renowned for its feedback because of the bridge construction and also I think my bridge pick-up needs wax potting. And on the recordings I didn't use it with my favorite amp but with a backup that doesn't sound as good, but still ok though.Jan wrote:BTW: Very good guitar sound!
I wouldn't worry about your sound, it's fine as it is.
