How to make audio session transcription easier on Linux?

What other apps and distros do you use to round out your studio?

How to make audio session transcription easier on Linux?

Post by Maliane »

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if any of you have tips for quickly transcribing audio sessions while working on Linux. I spend a lot of time replaying or listening back to my recordings just to jot down ideas or capture lyrics, and it can get really time-consuming.
I’ve tried a few open-source scripts and tools, like the one from Transcri.io that I saw on this site, but they’re often a bit limited or not very user-friendly. I’m looking for something that can handle multiple audio files, transcribe with minimal effort, and ideally export the text easily for my production notes. Does anyone here use solutions that work well in a Linux workflow, or have you found ways to automate transcription a bit without getting bogged down in complicated steps? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any advice you might have.
Thanks in advance for your help!
