Yep. There are additional reasons. In the past one thing classical composer used to do with sheet music is to copy it. Outside of the obvious need to copy music, it also gets to slow down and really pay attention to all the details.tseaver wrote: Mon Feb 09, 2026 1:39 am @CabalCrow

Plus all the votes! I don't usually transcribe stuff to notation with a pen{,cil}, but I totally know what you mean about actually writing something down: the way the neurons get activated when actually writing something is vastly different than the other ways I respond to inputs.
