I don't see any problem in Bitwig pricing. For my usage, I would not need highest priced version, and scheme where you pay for updates is ok for me. When they had some special pricing on 20 years (or something) celebration, I paid update plan, but haven't activated it because old version is fine for me, and for my use I see no interesting features. But sure, I use like 1% of its features, working with my recorded guitar audio mostly.
