Chord charts & backing tracks

Post by F7b5 »

Hello everyone,

I’ve created a simple website that aggregates backing tracks, performance videos from youtube, and chord charts, all in one place.
The site is completely free, and it will always stay that way.

Feel free to check it out here: https://www.openrealb.com
Any feedback is very welcome!

Nice work!

I did come across a chord chart ("Swing de Paris") where the use of first second ending markings was pretty confusing: I'm use to seeing them in lead sheets, of course, but the melody parts give context that is missing in a chord-only chart. Given that chord charts are already compressing vertical whitespace well, might I suggest that it would be clearer just to "unroll" the sections into full forms?

Also, is there a way for others to contribute songs, alternative videos, actual backing tracks (versus links to vids), etc?

Tres.
