Bad wording, I should've said "does not see the device" to make it clearer. Turned out it was a noob mistake, I was connecting via the OTG out, but I was using USB-micro power cable not a data cable. What I need to work out now is how to make linux send the signal back to the DNAfx.
EDIT: Worked it out and can confirm that the DNAfx Git works fine with Audacity on Ubuntu. I need to set in/out only in Audacity to DNAfx, the problem was that I was trying to change in/out system wide and that was causing issues.
