The Cosmic Abyss (+ video)

Post by psyocean »

"The Cosmic Abyss" - instrumental sketch-improvisation. One of new tracks, that I recorded on recently acquired portstudio Boss BR-1600CD :)
Final compressing and export to wave and mp3 - via Audacity on OS Ubuntu Studio.

Video on YT - https://youtu.be/Th0OMZoN8aA
Only audio mp3 - https://www.neizvestniy-geniy.ru/cat/mu ... tml?author

Video stuff contained fragments of filmed landscapes captured at Gatchina district of Leningrad region. The village of Lampovo is considered a “village of Old Believers”, since an Old Believer community has survived and is still active in it. In the village of Orlino, before the revolution, there was a noble estate, which is now destroyed, leaving a manor park next to Lake Orlinskoe. Filming - November 2024.

Happy 2025! There's a lot happening in a short time! The intro has an erie 'grandfather clock' feel, with the synth lead arriving at the right time. It seems like a succinct form of composition heard in top 40 styles, has been used with the orchestrated synth leads, pads, bass synth sounds, and guitars, which are nicely blended, with smooth transitions. There are a few moments where note transitions have the feel of 'Top Gun' and similar hollywood dramas. Lots of good music in under three minutes! 8)
Cheers

Hi @psyocean , there are some beautiful and interesting tones in this. I love your lead synth! You get that abyssal feeling in the frequency gap, especially in the intro. The guitars then glue it together much more, bringing more energy.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes, Jeanette
