Muse instrument identification file for Roland INTEGRA-7

Post by Cookston »

Hi everyone. I made a Muse instrument identification file for the Roland INTEGRA-7. I've tested it and it seems to be working fine. I'd like to share it with the rest of the world. If you download it I would be interested in your evaluation. It may contain errors but it's so big it's difficult to check all the patches. The file is too big (392.6 KiB)to post as an attachment so I uploaded it to my Google Drive account. You can use the link here to my Google Drive account. The link will work for anyone who has it. Link:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cAbu3_ ... sp=sharing

I'll try to keep the file on my Google Drive account as long as possible.

Good work!

Do let us know if you'd like to add it to MusE's bundled IDF files.

Please do, if it turns out to be free of errors. I looked high and low for an instrument identification file for my INTEGRA-7. I had to resign myself to the fact that there wasn't one out there. I don't want any Linux user to suffer like I did, not having access to all the patches on it easily. Thanks for the offer.

I found an error on line 2958 in the INTEGRA-7 idf:

<Patch name="nd Bass" hbank="93" lbank="2" prog="54" />

Should be:

<Patch name="42nd Bass" hbank="93" lbank="2" prog="54" />

I found a slew of errors. After fixing them I up graded the version number to 1.02. Looks like I was a little sloppy in my searches for errors in the first round. Anyone who has downloaded this idf should replace it with the upgraded version. The link for that file is: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1j8zcPm ... sp=sharing

Roland put their Zen sound engine in an affordable ($350) portable 61 key synth, the Go:Keys 3...I wonder how much of your work
would carry over to that model? The soundset has 1100 presets, with Roland cloud access, speakers for practice if desired, and a Go:Keys 5 model for $500 has more i/o etc. Could be great additions to a Muse linux studio.
Cheers

I checked to see if I could get a patch list of some kind for the Zen core sound engine. It looks like there's one on Roland Cloud. Unfortunately you need to be a member to access it. It would be tough even if I had one. I would need to test it and I don't have the hardware to to that. Nice thought though.

Good catch. I fixed that error and updated the file on my Goggle Drive. New version number is 1.2. The updated link is: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15V4aR7 ... sp=sharing

This is an important update. Two PatchGroup headers were malformed and thereby not showing up in the idf. The version number has be updated from 1.2 to 1.3. I'm sure some of you have caught this and maybe fixed it yourself. Anyway, this updated version is now on my Google Drive.
Link:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TZcaUg ... sp=sharing

The missing Patchgroup were:

<PatchGroup name="ExSN4: Guitar">
<PatchGroup name="ExSN6: SFX SuperNATURAL Drum Kit" >

Sorry for the inconvenience.
