Calf Plugin No GUI

Post by Michele »

Hi! I have some issues with some calf plug in. I can't see the GUI opening them from Carla. I use UBUNTU 24.04 on a raspberry pi 5.
I use a touch screen and I also have a problem with the dimensions of the buttons. Is there a way, into Carla, to make the rack containing a bigger size effects? So I can use the touch screen to shut down, activate, modify parameters..

Thanks in advance!

Michele

Maybe there is a missing dependency in the package and the gtk2-libs are missing on your system. CALF needs gtk2.

In an older AVLinux setup, Calf seems to work fine, and the monosynth is great with Rakarrack icing the cake!

kernel is ZEN SMP PREEMPT liquorix 5.15-11mx21+1 (2021-12-18) x86_64 GNU/Linux

gtk-2 lib is 2.24.33-2

Calf should work in current AV Linux as well, GTK2 is still in it's base (Debian Bookworm) and Calf will work with it's JACK host but it doesn't work in Ardour versions newer than 8.2 without this:
