Ardour can't record midi with jack synced

Post by miuzik »

Well, I have a weird problem with Ardour 8. I can't record midi, my problem is well described in the next post in ardour forums: https://discourse.ardour.org/t/recorded ... led/106384

Anyhow I tell you. I active the arm button of the midi track then press record button and play music. All things seem good. But... When stop and play again all the new tracks disappear.

In the ardour forum's post give us a workaround, it's not a real solution, but works: "you try to start recording with sync set to “JACK”, then while recording, switch to "Int"ernal and Stop in Ardour (you may have to press “Stop” twice)".

In the same post the author said that he is using Windows and he could find a solution. But for linux users there is nothing.

How I can resolve this problem?

PS: Debian 12 / Ardour 8.6.0 / qjackctl
