Hello,
I am searching a modern version of a "DAW", which I used around 1998-1999 for a while, but I didn't find it yet.
- It was a Windows Software for Windows 95/98
- It had a very colorful GUI
- It came with tons of samples
- In the lower area of the GUI, you could browse the samples catalogue. The catalogue was categorized via tabs, like "Drums", "FX" and so on. The samples themselves were presented as rectangles with a short description inside the rectangle, like "bang", "snare", "fuzzy noise" etc.
- Each rectangle/sample could be freely placed via drag and drop inside the tracks. The tracks were shown above the samples catalogue.
- Above the tracks were the Play, Stop etc. buttons.
- From what I vaguely remember, the software name had something with loop in it (but it wasn't Fruity Loops!)
Why I am searching a modern version of such an old piece of software? It was extremely easy to create some kind of music extremely fast as well. I think it would be still a useful tool for prototyping new music without much distraction or hassle.
Maybe someone can remember this kind of software?
