I have been a lurker for a long while, though largely to debug issues with my current interface, but I have only ever used Linux for audio production, initially audacity in my college years and now Ardour. It's only a hobby for me but I started to be more active about production instead of consuming endless hours of youtube gear content.
Currently I am recording mostly real guitars, amps, bass, vocals, with programmed drums and virtual instruments for keys. The genres I usually work with also benefits a lot from analog emulation plugins, which has been largely to my demise as so much of my little time allocated for this hobby has been going towards getting those types of plugins to work well (without eating up my DSP meter).
Regardless, I have been a Linux user for half my life, for work, gaming, etc. and want to see it through. This community has been really helpful to me, so I hope to learn more and give some more back as well!
