Re: [ANN] qpwgraph v0.6.2 - A Winter'24 Release
Hi, I love qjackctl, use it almost every time the computer is on. But I never use it's graph view. For the new qpwgraph, as well as qjackctl's graph, I suggest allowing users to have a text file or gui widget where they can set the colors of any text, the backgrounds on which they appear, and any boundary trim lines, as well as the main background panel where all those appear. This is largely possible in Ichiro Toda's Synth 1, by finding and applying the numeric color values one needs for a comfortable text and background viewing experience.
If there is some qt or other text file where the various colors can be edited, sharing the relevant lines of the text would be a great help.
For your several instruments, it would be great to implement the preset handling as found in Surge. Maybe a fork of LV2 is needed,
such that all the LV2 plugins use that structure? I'm sure they would be far more popular if that is possible.
Happy 2024, and thanks for sharing many years of excellent audio tools!

I found these in the QjackCtl.conf
[GraphColors]
0x2c2fdc12=#6b006b
0x30fc78a9=#6b0000
0x888db5ec=#6b6b00
0xae9f46b4=#006b6b
0xb91441cf=#006b00
Could you please list #commented references to ID which line is for which element?
Thanks
Edit: there are also lines
CustomColorTheme=
CustomStyleTheme=
If someone has utilized these happily, screenshots and details would be appreciated!

all these settings are avalable from the GUI:
- Graph menu: View > Colors > ... :- these are the port colors by port type (JACK, ALSA, etc.);
- QjackCtl only: Setup > Display > Custom > Custom palette theme: [...] :- you may define your own custom palette, give it a name and export it to a file you may share for others to import.

I use Wonton Color theme, Windows style. And, in the config file there's an option to disable the display glare effect too!
DisplayEffect=false

Is it possible to have this look like 'connection' on Qtrackctl?
I've always hated the Patchbay format.. I spend more time trying to figure what connects to what instead of making music.
Is it ok to use Qjackctl still with Pipewire?
