Hi All
I'm here to try to find out how to set up a very basic home recording rig, consisting of a midi capable digital piano, a USB Guitar interface, a Bass emulator (routed through said USB interface) and a Hydrogen drum machine with a view to recording song demos onto Audacity.
I need to be able to play and monitor in real time in order to create multitrack recordings and I'm on a shoestring so can't afford lots of shiny new toys!
I'm hoping this will be possible but the problem I'm having at the moment is that I can't get Audacity to playback whilst the USB interface is connected. I think it's a software issue but don't have much of a clue on that side of things - I believe it may be possible to set up JackCtl to hook everything up and get it to play nice together but that's where I'm at now
Looking forward to the learning curve but any advice/pointers will be welcome !
Cheers
M
