Thanks for listening. Maybe, if we are lucky and i find the original 8track tape and the diskette with the drumtracks (i used an Atari ST running cubase, synced with smpte/MTC ), i will mix the song from scratch again in ardour. But unfortunately, i have here about 80 reels, and as i decided to listen them all through, i hope i will find the right tape, and, more important, the recordings have survived (sometimes, not often, i used the same tape for different things). Maybe we will re-record that song, because we still like it after all those years.

Yes. I remember when finances dictated the re-use of tapes and lost a lot of old recordings as a result. These days, with the cheapness of storage, I keep everything!
Yes, we are living in a golden age without limitations... i really enjoy this. But it was not only the financial thing to reuse tape. I didn't have spare tape all the times, and the next dealer was 20km away, and the shop was closed at 6:00pm. So, when you started spontaneously, you had to drop a recording.
