Which DAW to use with Surge XT ?

Hi, which DAW to use please with Surge XT ? I wish to automate a maximum of things in Surge (by example the pitch of each oscillator, and if possible each Surge control).

I am a few used to Ardour but I can learn a new DAW.

Qtractor can automate plugin parameters and has a great MIDI editor.

If you are familiar with Ardour, that works ok. In Bitwig you have more advanced ways to handle automation, like adding some modulator instead doing automation by hand.

I saw surge has appeared in LMMS, but I could not figure out, how to see the gui.

I did see the automation knobs. LV2 support is being worked on in LMMS, but I did not test it.
