Flood Society -- "I Am A Man (Fifth Horseman Remix)"

Here is a reinterpretation of a rock song I published a few weeks ago, this time with a more techno/industrial feel to it.

I tried to emulate those commemorative CDs from the 90s where you had the normal album, and then, filling the disc to the brim until the 71', versions commissioned to DJs who tore the songs apart and put them back together, sometimes having to write new parts in the process, etc... It was a fun exercise.

Made in Reaper native Linux, with Yoshimi, Zynfusion, Drumgizmo, Calf plugins, VST plugins via LinVst. Video made with KdenLive.

Really cool track! But as a guitar player, I feel it really does need some real guitars :mrgreen: The MIDI ones do their job, but are not as impactful as some actual heavy guitars would sound like. Still a good song though!

Nice! Drums are a bit suppressed though: the snare could be more snappy.

@Rainmak3r
Glad you found the track enjoyable. You're right, there's only so much one can get away with samples and Midi. Hopefully I will get myself a proper guitar at some point. Thank you for listening...

@Impostor
Glad you like it, and thank you for the feedback about the drums; maybe I'll try some parallel compression for that snare, or sending it to a distortion bus...

Another option is to collaborate with a guitarist... Like our very own @Rainmak3r.

Yeah, collaboration is always an option, and there's certainly no shortage of guitarists out there...
