JACK Audio crackles/pops

Hi all,

Due to issues here: viewtopic.php?t=26166 I decided to change distros which has addressed those issues however I am faced with a new issue in that JACK Audio has crackles/pops.

Setup is Alma Linux 9.2 with a Realtime Kernel installed and Reaper as DAW. Audio Interface is a SSL2+ . The crackles and pops are noticed for example when holding down a note in u-he Diva the audio crackles at random intervals for as long as the note is held.

This issue does not seem present when using ALSA.

Check if you have a file in /etc/security/limits.d with

@audio   -  rtprio     95
@audio   -  memlock    unlimited

and if your userid is in group audio (or in that group mentioned in the file).

Seems i was not in the correct group and making changes to put my user in the correct group has it seems addressed the issue.
