I just ran into a situation where the program I was using (energyXT) only has one MIDI export option which puts all tracks in a single MIDI file. I tried importing this file into Ardour with the various MIDI import options and could not seem to get it to split and import the tracks individually.
I did some googling and found this on github: https://github.com/VirtuosicAI/MIDI-Splitter-Lite
It's a Windows program but it seemed to work fine with Wine-Staging (8.2 in my case) and it did exactly what I wanted, It's kinda ugly in Wine but it's a handy utility so I thought I'd share it..
