I already have a pretty decent setup for my e-piano in Carla, with multiple soundfonts and VSTs mapped to different keyboard areas via MIDI split. I want it to replicate the important features of Mainstage in a stable, OS-independent and keyboard-independent setup.
Yet I am missing a few things and am not sure if there is a way to implement them right now:
- how to auto-connect midi inputs at start/plugging in?

- how to include lush looping ambient pads by key and easily adjust them on song change - a friend used the upmost octave of the keyboard to switch to another key, and then a sample of that key would loop indefinitely - similar to having something like InfinitePad integrated -> might be able to implement that by faking a sustain pedal with a monophonic synth, though the transition between the keys is also pretty smooth in such applications usually
