L2Ork anyone ?

Has anyone been able to go to hear an L2Ork ? It does make a valid use for old laptop pcs,wii devices, etc gathering dust in a closet in one's home !

What about old/vintage arranger synths like the Roland D series (D5,50 etc.. ? [easily programmable,multi timbral ,etc..]

And a sort of alternative to Project Sam Symphobia(very expensive) I can only think of these 2 works still in progress(as always)...

I think it is a new way of making music Linux style a bit like being able to compose via Open Octave a piece of music for an orchestra/chamber music etc.. and then play it via your various pc etc compatible devices-in fact you being a real one-man orchestra.

The way I understand it it is NOT like having 5-6 Honda robots playing the flute etc..you are the conductor,composer...of real music not just digital weird futuristic sounds..

Again if someone can attend one the their future performance in the US and report here..we could get a better understanding..

My article on L2Ork is the cover story for the May 2010 issue of the Linux Journal. Considering that the topic (L2Ork) has to do with Linux, music, and sound, it does seem appropriate to post news about the group in the New Linux Music news section.
