If we took the USA's defense spending and instead spent it on domestic programs, we could literally end homelessness in the USA, and provide everyone with free national health care.
Politicians have absolutely no trouble finding billions of taxpayer dollars to spend on a war. But they can never find any money for social/domestic programs. This is because every single republican/democratic politician has been bought, and is owned, by the military-industrial complex. There is always taxpayer money to be found when serving the needs of wealthy donors, whether it be bailing out "too big to fail" businesses (ie corporate welfare), selling the pharma industry dirt-cheap rights to make medicines that were developed using taxpayer money, selling the oil on federal lands to oil companies at bargain prices, etc. And of course, since the 99% don't own the politicians, there's never any money for programs that benefit them (and in fact, those types of programs always seem to need to be cut, at the same time that the pentagon budget increases every year).
Get rid of the CIA. All they do is lie, and start wars. Close the 800 USA military bases around the world, and stop policing the world. Cut the pentagon budget. Stop giving away taxpayer money/resources to failing businesses, pharma industry, banking industry, oil companies, etc. We need to do this, or the USA will be a third world country within the next 25 years.
DO NOT VOTE REPUBLICAN/DEMOCRAT. Any third party is better than voting for 100% corrupt entities. Do not contribute money to any campaign in these 2 "corporate-captured" political parties.
