Hydrogen: merging patterns?

Post by Impostor »

Is there any way to merge patterns in Hydrogen? I'm looking for a way to merge a selection of patterns into a new one, in order to save me an eternity of monks work.

Anybody have a clue?

Even simply copy/pasting the contents of one pattern into another doesn't seem to work.

(I'm using Hydrogen 1.2.0)

Hmmm, copy/pasting blocks of notes is a bit awkward:

The top left corner of the block you'll be copy/pasting is specified by the left-most and top-most notes within the selected block you're drawing, not by the window you've drawn.

So, if a pattern contains a single note on the 10th position in the 7th row, you can draw a window containing the entire pattern, but to copy/paste this pattern as-is into another pattern, you'll have to paste it not on position (1,1), but on the exact position (7,10).
