Re: M-Audio MIDI controller (Oxygen Mk V NOT recommended)
I just wanted to throw this post in here in case any future Linux Musicians find this thread while looking for advice about the Oxygen series.
I bought the Oxygen 49 Mk IV and love it. However, I was just doing some research and, unless I've missed something, with the newer, Mk V version, the midi channels and controls of each of the knobs, sliders, etc. can no longer be changed from within the keyboard itself. It has to be done in a piece of software, which is only available for Mac and Windows. The keyboard will still work with Linux, but for users who have gotten used to the extra customization, this could be a disappointment.
I will be extremely happy if someone corrects me on this. The Mk IV is awesome.
