RECOMMENDED MIDI Accessories

Post by stephen_doonan »

Recommended compact and useful MIDI hardware: MIDI interface; hardware faders for MIDI automation, etc.--

Blokas MIDIHUB -- Website: https://blokas.io/midihub/

4-in/4-out MIDI interface with bidirectional USB for MIDI and other data between the Midihub and computer, programmable to process many different aspects of MIDI data as it is routed through the device.
The Midihub editor AppImage app works great in Linux, and the Midihub's firmware can be updated from within the editor app. Very nice, very handy for all kinds of MIDI-data processing and problem-solving.

MusioTech FADER PAL / FADER PRO / FADER PREMIUM, etc. -- Website: https://musiotech.com/

Smooth hardware faders easily programmed from the device itself to send any MIDI CC (Continuous Controller) data/values.
Designed with a customized Arduino board. One common use for a device such as this is to control a DAW's faders or track's automation (Expression, Modulation, etc.) using "MIDI Learn" functionality or user-configuration to link/bind the hardware device to the DAW function.
