Can't compile Muse on Devuan testing

Post by folderol »

This is a bit weird.
Via apt I can fetch and run V 4.1.0, but if I try to compile from source instead, it fails. This is apparently due to a conflict with devuan's shim for SystemD and one of Muse (QT?) dependencies.

I don't know if this is significant, but I started with a 'chimaera' install, then added 'testing' into sources.list. This hasn't caused a problem with any other software I use.

Hiya. Can you post the compilation output results?
I will take a look to see what's going on.
Thanks.

I'm a bit tied up with Yoshimi stuff at the moment, but as soon as I get time I'll try compiling again and report exactly what I get.

Sorry to be so slow responding, but this is what I get when just trying to load in the muse build-dep
bear in mind that muse 4.1.0 installs and runs quite happily when it's fetched via apt.

root@devuan:/home/will# apt build-dep muse

I've had no issues compiling latest git MusE on Devuan Chimeara, the current stable release. Testing is, well, testing, things may or maynot work on any given day, your mileage will always vary.

I prefer to be known as a figment of the 'nets imagination, living in the future, waiting for the rest of you to catch up.
