If I understand it correctly, 'usb' refers to a USB soundcard, and 'snd' refers to the built-in soundcard (Intel HDA, Realtek, etc). When I use my Behringer interface, merely switching 'usb' to the first name in the list gives it the highest IRQ priority when I check the rtirq status.

Here is my /etc/default/rtirq:

Code: Select all

RTIRQ_NAME_LIST="snd usb i8042"

# Highest priority.
RTIRQ_PRIO_HIGH=90

# Priority decrease step.
RTIRQ_PRIO_DECR=5

# Lowest priority.
RTIRQ_PRIO_LOW=51

# Whether to reset all IRQ threads to SCHED_OTHER.
RTIRQ_RESET_ALL=0

# On kernel configurations that support it,
# which services should be NOT threaded
# (space separated list).
RTIRQ_NON_THREADED="rtc snd"

# Process names which will be forced to the
# highest realtime priority range (99-91)
# (space separated list, from highest to lower priority).
# RTIRQ_HIGH_LIST="timer"

I don't think it's in cause, I never set it in the past, never found a doc that mention it is relevant. If you have suggestion I will try though.

In Bitwig, I set plugins to be loaded with the core ("with Bitwig"). On one peaks and xruns completely disappeared, but on another no change at all...

That's where I am...

I've just tried without jack, directly with Bitwig connected to Alsa. Same here, maybe a bit less...
