Videomusic: The winter Vyborg

Post by psyocean »

Greetings! I hope all you stand healthly and alive after holidays!

Sober New Year and Christmas without drops of alcohol - even more interesting, joyful and fresh.
And with a light heart it is possible to go on a short trip to a neighboring town. Such as Vyborg, located 150 km from St. Petersburg, where I live. I showed a few sketches on the video from that trip.

Walk through the winter Vyborg in December 2022. The ancient center, Vyborg castle, views from the Admiral Apraksin embankment, Monrepos park. Sounded by the author's instrumental composition "Not of this world". Video, photo and music - Vladimir Kuznetsov (Psyocean).

Audio track produced via Musescore, Rosegarden, Audacity. Photo edited with Darktable, Gimp. OS - Ubuntu Studio.

Hi @psyocean , I like this song. there is a certain grandeur in the music that sounds like your description of the Vyborg centre.
I enjoyed the constant secondary melodies. Always a little more going on. Interesting rhythm patterns to!
Thanks for sharing!

Greetings!

Nice work! I do think the snare is either too loud or too harsh in the first half of the song. It fits more in with the rest during the second half. Beautiful images as always.

Thanks!

I always struggle to properly define your music, as it's often quite particular: it definitely reminds me of those synth artists from the 80s (Jarre comes to mind), but with fascinating classical music influences in the way you write your themes. This track makes no exception, good work!
